There was a tendency for the numbers of small Bouteloua plants to increase in the Bouteloua adult removal quadrats, although the differences were not significant (by paired t tests), By the end of the experiment these quadrats had 19% more 1-2 tillered plants, 16% more 3-4 tillered plants, and 30% more 5-7 tillered plants than did the control quadrats.
