With the objective of identifying possible damaging effects from the use of cyclamate, this study evaluated the placental tissue of rats though three structures (deciduous and spongy layer, and chorionic villi), after the administration of 60 mg/Kg of body weight sodium cyclamate, from the tenth to fourteenth day of gestation.
