To assess associations between the number of times a respondent snooped (dependent variable) and various independent variable factors, linear (OLS) regression was performed.
Forty percent had no reason- they say that they just snooped out of curiosity.
About one in five (18%) said that their relationship was stronger because they snooped but almost 30% (28%) reported that their relationship was worse.
About two thirds of the respondents reported that they had snooped on their romantic partner.
Most snooped when their partner was taking a shower and looked at the partner's text messages, cell phone or Internet history.
