(2013) conducted an experimental study, in Brazil, testing the OES prepared with Enerlyte[R] Plus for the treatment of dehydrated calves due to induced osmotic diarrhea. The administered OES caused alkalinization and was efficient to reverse the dehydration and restore the homeostasis in those animals.
