The third system is designed to detect particles on the surface of car parts, using both bright field and dark field illumination. The inline particle detector is able to detect scratches, holes or colour defects on the surface of parts, along with identifying particles on the surface using dark field illumination.
With the capability to illuminate materials from different angles and with different light wavelengths (dark field illumination, bright field illumination, etc.), defects can be readily identified anywhere in the layer stack.
Dark field illumination (which uses a special light condenser) is better for observing waterborne specimens and is particularly good for monitoring the stability of dispersion resins and latexes with heat or other aging.
