The skin of normal cat is populated with small numbers of Micrococcus, alpha-hemolytic Streptococci, Propionibacterium acnes, Acinetobacter and Staphylococcus spp.
Organisms cultured from biopsies of nasopharyngeal soft tissue included alpha-hemolytic streptococci, Staphylococcus aureus, Candida glabrata, and Candida albicans.
