The standard of care, at minimum, required that the aforementioned factors be considered before administering the injection at a 90-degree angle approximately two inches below the
acromial process into the deltoid muscle at a depth so as to not come in contact with the major brachial plexus nerves in the upper arm of the patient.
* Bi-acromial diameter: Distance between most lateral projections of the
acromial processesFeet width was individually standardized as the distance equal to half the shoulder width between the
acromial processes and marked on the platform to ensure the same foot position for both conditions.
This tends to occur over bony prominences such as the greater trochanter,
acromial processes, lateral epicondyle of the elbow and stifle and the distal fibula.
