(10) In this article we review key features of the clinical presentation, laboratory diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment of this rare but serious acquired bleeding disorder.
There have been reports of various inherent and acquired bleeding disorders such as anticoagulant therapy, thrombolytic therapy, antiaggregant therapy, hemophilia, chronic renal failure, and liver cirrhosis causing SIED in the literature (1-3).
DDAVP has been used to treat many inherited bleeding diseases, and it also has been shown to be effective in treating some acquired bleeding disorders.
