Water
Absorption Test. In line with AASHTO [18], the water
absorption test was conducted to determine the amount of water absorbed under specified conditions.
During vapor
absorption tests, a vapor molecule will condense inside a capillary tube (pore throat) once the meniscus of the condensate is less than or equal to the diameter of the pore throat [71].
In fact, tensile tests, water
absorption tests and hardness tests showed higher performances for 30W10F than 10F or 30W samples.
The
absorption test results using antiserum revealed the complete disappearance of immunoreactivity in the thymus (Fig.

absorption tests were carried out in different conditions for samples with 8x5 mm dimensions and 0.7-1.2mm thickness at room temperature.
Table 9 shows results of water
absorption tests for reference blocks and for sawdust-added blocks after 28 days.
Furthermore, influence of silica nano-particles on durability and microstructure of concrete for 28-days specimens were tested by conducting water
absorption test, Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), and Energy Dispersive X-ray Analysis (EDAX), respectively.
Additionally, the researchers performed vitamin D
absorption tests in four patients with ulcerative colitis (UC) and found a wide variability of vitamin D2 bioavailability in patients with UC as well as in 17 patients with CD, which was unexpected since vitamin D is absorbed in the small intestine and not in the colon.
* Retention Under Direct Pressure--The most useful of the
absorption tests, although commonly only carried out under one pressure (0.7psi, 4.8kPa) for all diaper sizes, thus not reflecting the actual pressures applied to modern slim diapers.
These investigations included water
absorption tests and roughness measurements.
As an indicator of surface permeability, timed water droplet
absorption tests were run on the veneer from stored logs to determine if drying schedule could influence surface absorption potential.
Two 6-hour
absorption tests were then performed in which 0.1 mg of L-thyroxine was administered alone and then with 60 mg of raloxifene.
These tests represent advances over the tests used now, the rapid plasma reagin and fluorescent treponemal antibody
absorption tests, observed Penelope Hitchcock, D.V.M., chief of the STD branch at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, Bethesda, Md.
As for practicability, our laboratory at Creighton University recently performed nearly 8000 [sup.45]Ca-based
absorption tests for the multicenter Study Of Fractures project (11) over a period of a few months, at a direct laboratory cost of less than $32 per test, including preparation and shipping of the labeled test doses.
