ADNOC Distribution, the leading operator of retail fueling services outlets in the UAE, today announced the completion of the second phase of the development and expansion of the Officers City Service Station
located on the Arabian Gulf Road in Abu Dhabi.
The Officers City service station
now boasts five islands with 10 pumps, and is capable of refuelling 20 vehicles simultaneously.
The Hafeet North and Hafeet South service stations
also offer facilities such as fast food outlets, an ATM, and oil change centre.
Saeed Mubarak Al Rashdi, acting chief executive officer of Adnoc Distribution, said: "Our two new service stations
in Al Ain further underlines our commitment to provide a comprehensive range of services to our valued customers by expanding its geographic presence across the UAE.
The opening of these two new service stations
represents the latest stage in Adnoc Distributions overall expansion strategy aimed at meeting growing energy demand from various sectors in the UAE, said Saeed Mubarak Al Rashdi, acting chief executive officer of Adnoc Distribution.
The OXXO facilities are a fraction of the total service stations
that PEMEX has supplied in Mexico.

Handover of these service stations
to the new owners was scheduled to be completed by the end of 2015.
Shell, which has more than 1,000 branded UK service stations
, is also in talks over the sale of another 27 sites as it looks to reduce the number of company-owned service stations
to around 550.

David Black of Viewsbank said: "Motorway service stations
defi-nitely provide an important service and millions of motorists use them but the research shows they are not winning many friends.
The takeover plan was announced in September 2012, while at the beginning of 2013, Adnoc Distribution started supplying its products to the Emarat service stations
through Sharjah Terminal.
Currently, Woqod has two service stations
under construction and another nine under planning consent.
As of January 1, 2012 the total number of service stations
in Slovakia was 724, up six on a year before.
DOHA QATAR Fuel, known as Woqod, is in process of opening 17 new service stations
in Qatar soon.
