Under the optimal S/L ratio and C[O.sub.3.sup.2-]/HC[O.sub.3.sup.-] ratio, four oxidants, which were 30% aqueous [H.sub.2][O.sub.2], NaClO solution with 5% available chlorine, KMn[O.sub.4], and [K.sub.2][S.sub.2][O.sub.8], were selected to assess the effect of oxidation on the leaching efficiency of uranium from the lignite.
The wheat seeds were placed on Petri dishes with filter paper after soaking in NaClO (3%) for 5 min.
