Keeping in view the identical photochemical properties of organic dyes and transition metal complexes in various synthetic transformations , the present studies describes the photocatalytic efficiency of ruthenium tris-(bipyridine) chloride and eosin Y for the facile construction of C-C and C-S bonds employing the N-aryl tetrahydroisoquinolines as the target substrates.
