La tribu Premnotrypini (Coleoptera, Curculionidae, Entiminae) comprende tres generos: Premnotrypes Pierce con 11 especies, Rhinotrypes Kuschel con cuatro especies y Microtrypes Kuschel con 10 especies (Kuschel 1956).
Asimismo, se ha contado con la colaboracion de los siguientes especialistas en la revision y validacion de varios grupos: Raul Muniz Velezf (investigador jubilado; Curculionidae), Juan J.
Regarding Coleoptera, many insect families were evaluated, although most efforts were directed toward Curculionidae (88 combinations) and Tenebrionidae (78 combinations).
In October 2010, ripe fruits of acerola (Malpighia emarginata) infested by Curculionidae larvae and pupae were collected in the state of Roraima, Brazil, in the municipalities of Boa Vista (N 02[degrees]51'24.4" and W 60[degrees]39'37.1"), Mucajai (N 02[degrees]26'08.8" and W 60[degrees]55'08.2"), Pacaraima (N 04[degrees]28'51.1" and W 61[degrees] 08' 33.3") and, in November 2015, in Normandia (N 03[degrees] 52' 50.9" and W 59[degrees] 37' 58.6").
