Two developing solvent systems were used as mobile phase: twice of 85% acetonitrile and once of 2-propanol: 1-butanol
: [H.sub.2]O (12:3:4) for developing.
Henry's law constants and infintite dilution activity coefficients of cis-2-butene, dimethylether, chloroethane, and 1,1-difluoroethane in methanol, 1-propanol, 2-propanol, 1-butanol
, 2-butanol, isobutanol, tert-butanol, 1-pentanol, 2-pentanol, 3-pentanol, 2-methyl-l-butanol, 3-methyl-l-butanol, and 2-methyl-2-butanol.
The reagents used to prepare the micellar mobile phases were SDS (99% purity), 1-propanol, 1-butanol
, 1-pentanol, disodium hydrogen phosphate, and HCl (Merck).
Other alcohols like ethanol, 1-propanol, 2-propanol and 1-butanol
have also been reported for biodiesel production .
In the diurethane synthesis, MDI (MDI--Isonate 125M, Dow), 1-butanol
(Vetec), 1-octanol (Merck), and dimethylformamide (DMF, Vetec) were used as received.
We found that the addition of [Na.sub.2]S[O.sub.4] facilitated the extraction of the complex with 1-butanol

To maintain the emulsified nano reactor, cyclohexane, TX-100 and 1-butanol
including phosphate precursor was the continuous phase while aqueous Ca precursor solution was taken as the dispersed phase.
After the addition of 0.5 mL of the internal calibrator solution and 2 mL of 1-butanol
(R2 reagent), samples were loaded onto solid-phase columns and washed with 9 mL of R3 reagent (a mixture of butanol:water:acetic acid).
The other minor peaks are of ethanol, propanol, 2-butenal, 1-butanol
, acetic acid, and butanoic acid.
