The Desert Divas, a team consisting of eight women and bank worker Jonty Crosse, will take part in the 2017 London Moonwalk on Saturday.
Together, we feel very strongly that breast cancer is a real and present danger to women from all backgrounds and the Moonwalk provides a creative and fun way to highlight the importance of fundraising for breast cancer and attracting attention to the need for ongoing research.
Many of us have been involved in supporting the wonderful work of Think Pink Bahrain, and with links to the UK the Moonwalk provides a great forum to contribute to the worldwide efforts in promoting breast cancer research, which has a ripple effect around the world.
On Saturday, May 10, Gynette from Hawarden is taking part in her 14th London Moonwalk
Marathon, followed by London to Brighton Challenge on Saturday, May 24, the Edinburgh Moonwalk

It took animal trainer Elaine Tait two weeks to teach the five-year-old stallion how to moonwalk
- using carrots as rewards in training.
Tomorrow they will take their bras down to London to take part in the MoonWalk for charity Walk the Walk.
Then, on June 9, they will head north to do it all again for Edinburgh's MoonWalk.
She wants to help other women to have access to that support so she has signed up to for the Playtex Moonwalk.

are where women and men don decorated bras to power walk through a major city in aid of Breast Cancer Reserach.
So when she signed up for the MoonWalk Scotland it was because she knew the event had funded the new purpose-built Maggie's Centre at Gartnavel Hospital in Glasgow, which opened in 2011, and had pledged to provide funds for a second Maggie's Centre in the Forth Valley.
So when I heard that the Maggie's Centre at Gartnavel had been built with money raised by walkers of The MoonWalk Scotland, I just thought it was incredible.
