Cheatgrass, a major weed in Oklahoma, and downy brome, a major weed in winter wheat growing regions of the U.
Last year, growers sought and were granted a Section 18 Emergency Exemption for the use of Maverick in Oklahoma and select counties in Washington, Oregon and Idaho because of the pressure from cheatgrass and downy brome.
