I've been excoriated for removing dame's rocket -- a plant with admittedly pretty pink and purple flowers -- but I still do it because dame's rocket has a nasty habit of wiping out native spring wildflowers, which are also pretty and do a much better job of feeding insects and fungi, and providing shade for native tree and shrub seedlings.
