To cite an example from the book, the
color circle has sectors of an annulus (the region) representing a particular color, say, red (the closer to the center, the smaller the hue).
The angular component of a complex value determines the hue by mapping the angle to a corresponding position on a
color circle.
Hue and saturation are illustrated by the
color circle in Figure 3.
