As a first step around two hundred blipping events have been applied manually with the goal to create very short blip durations.
Investigating all blipping events which have been measured for this work show that more than 98% of the investigated blips are stalling according to stall mode A and B.
As described the position of the blipping event within the working cycle seems to have a high influence on the stall behavior.
As soon as the blipping event starts within the intake phase the pressure at intake valve closing starts to drop.
Therefore an automation procedure to apply sudden throttle opening is introduced and the resulting blip events are compared to manual worst case blipping events.
