Three VIMRX compounds are in development: VIMRXynr, chemically synthesized hypericin, an antiviral and anticancer agent; VM201, a Factor IXa inhibitor for selective inhibition of blood clotting to manage the bleeding risk associated with anti-coagulation; and VM301, a dermatological agent with wound healing potential.
In addition, three compounds are in development: VIMRxyn(R), a chemically synthesized hypericin studied for the treatment of HIV, brain cancer, hepatitis C, and blood sterilization; VM201, a cardiovascular compound recently acquired from Columbia University, that selectively inhibits Factor IXa to manage blood clotting; and, VM301, a wound healing dermatological agent.
In pre-clinical studies, this compound - a protein known as a Factor IXa inhibitor - has demonstrated an ability to selectively prevent blood clots while reducing the chance of bleeding complications that are associated with anticoagulation therapies that are now in use.

The protein, known as Factor IXa inhibitor, has demonstrated in pre-clinical studies its ability to selectively prevent blood clots that can lead to stroke during surgery, while reducing the potential for bleeding complications associated with currently available anticoagulation therapies.
