At the Cafe des Amis, we ate one of the best Mexican meals we've ever had (Spicy Pulled Pork Enchilladas
and Pollo Verde) in a terrific relaxed, friendly atmosphere.
And the entire menu suddenly became even nuttier than a squirrel's jobby when I spotted a fair old smattering of Indian curries, Mexican enchilladas
and Asian-style noodle dishes.
As well as the usual fajitas, tortillas and enchilladas
there's a selection of regional specialities like corvina rellenos (sea bass served with grilled vegetables and sweet potato) and Puerto Rican paellas.
Hot and spicy fajitas, mouthwatering tacos and tasty enchilladas
are a rare treat.
For my fi lling I've used chicken and, rather than just the usual run-of-the-mill peppers and onions that you would normally get, I've thrown in chunks of sweet potato which makes enchilladas
more of a meal on its own.
