Five amphibian species that we expected at IIA, but did not encounter during the study, were: eastern tiger salamander (Ambystoma tigrinum), redback salamander (Plethodon cinereus), zigzag salamander (Plethodon dorsalis), slimy salamander (Plethodon glutinosus), and the southern leopard frog (Rana sphenocephala).
